Schreiner Students Volunteer at Doyle School Community Center

Kerrville, TX – This semester, several Schreiner University students – mostly upper-level – volunteered at the Doyle School Community Center to provide after-school mentoring and assistance to at-risk youth through tutoring, organized recreation and camaraderie. This program was part of the Sport Sociology class, and was faculty-led by Dr. Matthew Robinson.

Athletics and Student-Athletes Host BT Wilson for Field Day

KERRVILLE, TX: The Schreiner Athletics Department hosted BT Wilson for their annual end of the year field day where students played kickball, ultimate frisbee, soccer, capture the flag, backyard games, dodgeball, and could go on a nature walk.

Baseball Defeats #6 TLU Bulldogs 7-6 in 21 Innings on Senior Day


KERRVILLE, TX: The Mountaineers defeated SCAC opponent #6 Texas Lutheran University 7-6 in 21 innings during their second game of the series at Bob Henry Field on Saturday afternoon. This game tied 4/22/11 Oglethorpe vs. Rhodes as the longest game in SCAC history. 

Harris Competes in Day One of 2019 Track & Field SCAC Championship

Women's Track

SAN ANTONIO, TX: The Women's Track & Field team had one student-athlete competing in day one of the 2019 Women's Track & Field Championship in the Triple Jump. Amber Harris placed fifth in the event with a mark of 10.10 meters and earned two points for Schreiner.
