LAWRENCEVILLE, GA.: The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) announced its Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll today for the 2018 fall term. A total of 40 Mountaineers from Men's Cross Country, Women's Cross Country, Men's Soccer, Women's Soccer, and Volleyball were among the 378 student-athletes who made the list.
KERRVILLE, TEXAS: During half-time of the Women's Basketball game on Monday, the Athletic Department recognized the first ever group of Athletics Faculty Mentors. This program is designed to increase connections between faculty and student-athletes through communication, mentoring, familiarity and shared experiences.
SHREVEPORT, LOUISIANA - The Mountaineers finished up their season at the SCAC Cross Divisional on Sunday after matching up against Austin and Centenary. The team fell in four sets in both matches, first with the Roos: 15-25, 25-23,19-25, and 17-25 and they finished the tournament with the Ladies: 25-25, 25-27, 21-25, and 20-25.
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS - The Mountaineers matched up against Johnson & Wales (CO.) and #4 Colorado College for day two of the SCAC Cross Divisional. The team won 3-2 against the Wildcats (25-13, 16-25, 14-25, 25-17 and 16-14) and then fell to the Tigers (16-25, 16-25, and 15-25).
SEGUIN, TEXAS: The Mountaineers traveled to Seguin, Texas for a dual conference match-up against the Bulldogs and the Tigers on Saturday. Schreiner fell in three ssts to TLU 11-25, 13-25, and 18-25 and then fell to Trinity in four sets 11-25, 13-25, 25-21, 12-25.
KERRVILLE, TEXAS - The Mountaineers hosted Huston-Tillotson for a non-conference match-up on Wednesday evening for their Dig Pink Breast Cancer Awareness game. Schreiner fell to the Rams in three sets: 11-25, 14-25, and 21-25.
AUSTIN, TEXAS - The Women's Volleyball team traveled to Austin, Texas on Saturday afternoon for a non-conference match-up against Concordia. The Mountaineers lost in three sets:14-25, 15-25, and 12-25.
IRVING, TEXAS - Volleyball traveled to Irving, TX. to compete in a SCAC Crossover Tournament. The Mountaineers first fell to the Dallas Crusaders in three sets: 14-25, 17-25, and 25-27, before facing Johnson & Wales (CO.) and beating them in three sets: 26-24, 25-21, and 25-21.
